My beautiful boy passed over the rainbow bridge on 12/17/09.

He had shown some lameness at training on the Sat. after Thanksgiving. I had him to my local vet, a specialist in Tampa and then referral onto the University of Florida medical school. He was diagnosed as having a malignant nerve sheath tumor than affected T3-T5. I opted to not wake him up from the general anesthesia.

He was my heart dog.

Nora, that was a tough but kind decision. So sorry for you. It must've been very hard to not allow him to wake up just so you could see him one last time, but I commend you for the way you handled it- in his best interest, not yours. Clap

Thank you to everyone for your kind thoughts. I would give most anything to have him back and healthy. Hindsight is perfect and I try to remember to train each day as though it was my last chance.
