I like her. She reminds me of my Ceira with regards to build. I like the more compact agile dogs. Aria out of Jen's litter had a similar build very compact and solid. respect

Ceira is an awesome dog, unfortunately she is plaqued with health problems, the latest being a dysplastic right hip, which never bothered her before, but now at the age of 7 has become a problem. She finished her Rally advanced title at the national in oct. I am going to try to finish her CDX in the spring. She is trained through utility.

I am looking into Stem Cell implantation for that hip, but she has some other factors that make her a less than ideal candidate, so I need to wiegh all the pros and cons before jumping in.

Thank you for asking about her. This beauty really reminds me of her with the coloring and shape. I am sure she is a spit fire too just as my Ceira is.

No I wish I owned Aria. She was my favorite from Jen's litter. Someone on the GSD Pedigree Data base bought her.

I was very interested in a pup from the Arko Capri litter that didn't happen. Timing wise it would not have been ideal. I am still very busy with the 2 I am working and my old 13 year old is still hobbling around.

I want to be able to give a pup my full attention. Maybe if the Arko Capri litter happens next year I will be ready and in a better position to take on a new pup.

I love Clif's Dura as well, she is simply amazing.

Hopfully I will do that breeding...if not I will repete the Arko/Theres litter.

I don't know when Capri will be ready for a heat off.

Yeah I figure she will be due for a heat off so that breeding may not happen for a while. Fingers crossed it will.

Capri had the heat off after her Ron litter. I am thinking of doing the Arko litter after this Chico breeding, then giving her another heat off. I'm of the opinion that if they're in ideal condition, it's easier on the body to have 2 pregnancies back to back THEN time off instead of ON OFF ON OFF...JMO. I know if I had a choice, I'd pick to have 2 back to back, and THEN worry about getting back in shape and getting hormones regulated. Laughing

I am not making any promises though; breeding to an out of state dog is not easy, esp. when you have a slew of dogs at home (and horses) and a baby. Not so easy to just pack up and go to Florida. Also, as we found out, you can't count on timing. Keep your fingers crossed that this upcoming heat is more on schedule and I can make it to FL.

That is usually what I try to do...two heats on and one heat off.

Some time you get screwed up when one female brings another female in before her time. It's called the dormatory effect.

Precisely. Lyn, you seem to be on her wavelength; shall I send her to you? Razz She is on my $h!+ list BIG TIME this week. She has got to be the most mischievous dog I have ever had. You name it, she'll screw it up. And the look on her face is what lets her live. She has the ability to look positively angelic. In fact, most people don't even believe me when I tell them the destruction she's caused. They think she's just this little angel... Piep

Uh-oh...I think I really hijacked the thread. SORRY STEVE!!!

Back to Bora...that really nice looking girl I would buy if I had a job. Laughing

I'm thinking Durbas must be pretty smart; I have 2 of his girls here and they are both near geniuses. Prudence got out of a kennel by TAKING THE LEASH CLIP OFF THE LATCH then opening the door. Huh

Qira thinks it's no big thing to scale up the wall of a kennel panel, walk a tightrope over Capri's kennel, and climb into Caleb's. Aargh
