Lux vom Kameruner Eck

Lux is a great dog to be around, both in working with him and in looking at him. In public he is quite the head turner and people compliment me as to how beautiful he is... always a compliment when people say this about a working line dog. He has a very warm and friendly nature, and can be handled easily by a knowledgeable dog person. He loves to please his handler, will work forever for the reward of a ball or toy, and is sure and confident in temperament for protection work. His tracking ability, passed down from to him from his grandfather Lord vom Gleisdreieck, is very apparent in him. His bone is substantial and has a correct and pleasing working structure. Lux passes these qualities strongly on into his pups.

Lux vom Kameruner Eck

Absolutely impressive strong boned very dark black sable male with huge head. 100 % East German pedigree. In bite work his grips are always full and hard. Maximum drives for the ball in order to create top performance in obedience.

His Sire, Tino vom Felsenschloss, is currently a top producer in Germany for a combination of outstanding structure and temperament. In addition to the excellent bloodlines Lux inherits from his sire line, he inherits the incredible and well known protection and tracking abilities from his maternal grandsire, the great DDR sire, Lord vom Gleisdreieck.

Lux vom Kameruner Eck

Lux's Maternal Grandsire "Lord" was a top producing male who was renowned for imparting excellent working drives into his offspring, and was one of the finest producers of sound hips (producing good-excellent hips with around 98.5% success rate). Lord got his SchH1 title with a perfect score of 300 points. Out of his first 19 trials, he scored 15 perfect 100's in tracking. His lowest tracking score was 97! His blood goes back to Jeff vom Flamings-Sand, Blacky vom Gleisdreieck, and Ingo von Rudingen (credited for producing some of the strongest structural health for the working German Shepherd gene pool, vastly improving upon pigmentation and working abilities).

Geonology of Lux vom Kameruner Eck

Breed survey of Lux

Large frame, well pigmented, pronounced type of male with very appealing structure and appearance. Strong head, appealing top line, straight front. Pronounced chest proportion. Well angulated in front and rear, space covering gait, effective actions. Sure temperament, pronounced fighting instinct, releases.

His puppies are very dark, and I am eagerly awaiting a new litter which will be his first litter with my female Franzi vom Grafental. Franzi is even darker than Lux, so pigment should be excellent in this cross. Lux is a very masculine male, and has a gorgeous typical large blocky East German head type, which he also imparts into his offspring. Below are some of his progenies with Elba z Esagilu, Xena Ort & Saskia vom Schaferliesel. Lux is currently in training in preparation for his SchH III titling

Schraderhaus K9 is a family owned kennel located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest Region. We have lived in this area all of our lives and in 1977 established our home and kennel here, where we continue to focus on producing the best quality animals geared for work and home alike. Our dogs are Working Line German Shepherd Dogs; the working ability and excellent temperament being the true original intent and purpose of the German Shepherd Dog.

Our breeding stock consists of excellent dogs who are imported from Germany, Czechoslovakia and Slovakia. They possess and exhibit strong working ability in protection, tracking, obedience and herding, and are brave loyal defenders of the family unit. Temperaments are balanced and clear and pups produced from our dogs are also very warm in temperament with family members. All of our breeding dogs are hip and elbow certified against dysplasia. Our dogs are extreme in bone density and head type and possess excellent and correct ear placement, producing like qualities in their offspring. They are substantial and solid in body type and have excellent deep dark pigmentation of coat coloration, where we focus our color production mainly on blacks, black sables and bi-color coloration.
